Charging policy for MAGNAZip™and Renson® Zip Blinds

  1. An additional fee of $500 applies if an individual chooses to split a panel into two for dimensions below 3.5 meters in width (subject to management’s approval and staircase turning radius). For instance, if one of your panels measures 3 meters in width, and you opt for two panels instead of one, there will be a $500 charge to cover the additional motor and material costs.
  2. A minimum billing area of 40 square feet will be applied to each motorised panel ordered. For example, if the area of a motorised panel measures 27 square feet, the invoice will reflect a charge equivalent to 40 square feet.
  3. For installations where the dimensions necessitate the use of a fixed or manual pulley system due to limitations with our motorised panel size, a fee of $300 will be charged for each fixed panel. In cases requiring a manual pulley system, the fee will be $400 per installation.
  4. To ensure efficiency in material usage and labour costs, the height used for quotation purposes will be determined based on the following:
    • For heights between 2.21m and 2.5m, a height of 2.5m will be used for quotation.
    • For heights below 2.2m, a height of 2.2m will be used for quotation, regardless of the number of panels.
    • However, if the installation consists of only two panels and the total cost remains below $2,500 even when using 2.2m for quotation, a minimum charge of $2,500 will apply.

This policy is in place to account for material wastage, particularly for profile cutting, as standard profile lengths often result in leftover materials that cannot be repurposed efficiently.

  5. For both MAGNAZip™ Zip blinds and Renson Fixscreen®, the structural requirements for installation, such as steel or aluminium supports, will be determined based on the specific layout and conditions of the area. This is especially relevant for installations involving higher ceilings where additional support structures are necessary to ensure safety. A detailed site assessment will be conducted to ascertain if any additional charges are applicable

General Terms

  1. These warranties are limited to the original purchaser and are not transferable. The warranties do not cover damages resulting from misuse, improper installation by anyone other than mc2 personnel, or unauthorised repairs.
  2. Warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue.

Installation Preparation, Cancellation, and Rescheduling Policy

  1. To ensure a smooth and efficient installation process, we kindly request all customers to complete the necessary preparations before the scheduled installation date. This includes applying for a renovation permit (if required), clearing the installation area of obstacles, and completing essential works such as electrical outlets or carpentry that may impact the installation.
  2. If the required preparations are not completed, our team may be unable to proceed with the installation as planned. In such cases, a rescheduling fee of $180 will apply to cover operational costs and ensure we can continue providing quality service to all our customers.
  3. Additionally, any cancellations or rescheduling requests must be communicated at least 48 hours before the scheduled installation date. Changes made within less than 48 hours will also incur a $180 fee, as they significantly impact our scheduling and resource allocation.
  4. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us deliver the best experience possible. Should you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your dedicated sales consultant.

Tile Drilling Disclaimer

At mc2 Pte Ltd, we take pride in our extensive experience in installations and have worked with a wide range of flooring and wall materials, including various types of tiles. Our installation team will carefully assess the site before drilling to determine the most suitable drill bit and method for the specific tile or flooring used.

While our team exercises great care and expertise, it is important to acknowledge that drilling into tiles carries inherent risks. Some tiles, particularly those made of natural stone, porcelain, or highly brittle materials, are more prone to cracking despite the use of appropriate techniques and tools. Factors such as tile composition, existing structural conditions, and prior installation quality can all impact the outcome.

Liability & Compensation Policy

Minimised Risk Approach: Our team will assess the tiles before proceeding and use the most suitable equipment to reduce the risk of damage. However, due to the unpredictable nature of tile integrity, cracks may still occur despite best practices.

Limited Compensation Coverage: In the unfortunate event of tile damage during installation, we will do our best to assist in rectifying the issue. However, compensation, if applicable, will only cover the affected area that requires fixing and will be limited to reasonable repair or replacement.

Exclusions: mc2 Pte Ltd reserves the right to decline jobs involving tile or stone finishes that are highly susceptible to cracking upon drilling. This includes, but is not limited to, materials such as marble, granite, and other natural stones known for their fragility. If the assessment suggests a high risk of breakage, we may advise alternative installation methods or require a waiver before proceeding.

Paint Disclaimer

At mc2 Pte Ltd, we take every precaution during installation to minimize surface impact. However, due to the nature of the process, minor paint damage or cracking may occur, especially on older or less durable paint finishes. This is a normal outcome and not a defect of the installation.

Liability Disclaimer:

mc2 Pte Ltd will not be liable for any form of paint damage or cracking that occurs during installation. Customers are advised to touch up affected areas after installation if necessary.

We appreciate your understanding and assure you that our team will handle the installation with care to minimize any potential impact.

Water Pipe Disclaimer

At mc2 Pte Ltd, we take great care during installation, but hidden water pipes behind walls are not detectable. Our standard installation requires drilling 1.5 inches into the wall, and while we use the best practices to minimise risks, we rely on customers to inform us of any concealed pipes or important structures in the installation area.

Liability Disclaimer:

  • mc2 Pte Ltd cannot be held responsible for any damage to hidden water pipes, as their locations are not visible or detectable.
  • If there are any pipes or critical elements behind the walls, customers must inform us in advance so we can assess and proceed accordingly.

We appreciate your understanding and will do our best to ensure a smooth and careful installation process.
